  The ultimate in sleep tracking

Sleeping well is an art: we now know, thanks to neuroscience in particular, that a few daily actions can help maintain and protect quality sleep. It's about understanding that our activities, whether professional or private, must be adapted , as far as possible, to our biological clock and not the other way around. The quality and quantity of sleep has a major influence on metabolism, immunity, brain maturation and learning, etc. The philosophy at Demain en main is to raise awareness of the importance of Resources / Expenses balance when it comes to planning your day, your week, your life in general. Resources are the body's ability to regenerate and recover. Sleep is the cornerstone of all "Resource" activities.

Each stage of sleep is important and plays a key role in physiological balance. REM or REM sleep is fundamental in the consolidation of memory. Deep or slow sleep is essential for physical and physiological recovery: it is during this phase that major hormones such as growth hormone are secreted.

Biofeedback, also called biological feedback or biological retrocontrol, is a technique that allows a person to become aware of the functioning of certain parts of their body. One can observe for example the activity of the heart on a tachogram displaying a graph of the beats of the heart in BPM (beats per minute) as a function of time. By doing breathing exercises, we can  become aware of the following physiological functioning: when  we inhale the heart rate increases and when we exhale it decreases. This biofeedback can also be used as a follow-up to assess certain lifestyle habits on a physiological characteristic of the body. It is used very effectively in Cardiac Coherence (see the article on codesna)

Neurofeedback is the part of biofeedback that focuses on brain activity. We can view in real time or record the neuronal activity of the brain in order to become aware of the impact of our daily habits on it.

The Dreem headband was developed by the French company Rythm. They are today the world leaders in this field. The accuracy of the Dreem headband has been clinically validated both in terms of recording quality and automatic recognition of the different sleep phases. This makes it a major asset for being able to monitor sleep and adapt your lifestyle accordingly. It makes it possible to measure several physiological parameters  during the night: the average heart rate, the average respiratory rate, the duration of each stage of sleep etc...

It also makes it possible to act qualitatively on deep sleep by emitting a pink noise which is transmitted through the bones. This pink noise would stimulate the brain in such a way as to amplify the waves of deep sleep. The device contains a tiny piece of metal that transmits sound directly into the skull viabone conduction technology. In this way, the sound is transmitted by vibration and not directly inside the ear.

Beethoven, a renowned musician and composer then at the height of his career, began to go deaf. While looking for hearing aids, he adopted an ingenious system: he squeezed a wooden stick between his teeth which he pressed against the body of the piano, which made him hear the sounds by bone transmission. This anecdote is the first documented result of bone conduction.
